After postponing twice due to bad weather, we finally got a party of seven intrepid bass fly fishermen together in Poole Harbour at dawn on Saturday 19th August. Rough windy conditions kept the bass down in the water column but the group managed 29 bass to the fly.

Three first time bass fly fishermen also managed to get their first bass on the fly and were delighted. We all gathered for full English breakfast at the cafe in Sandbanks afterwards to share the success and tell of the ones that got away.
