July Mullet Madness

flyfisher standing in sea landing a mullet

Brilliant day out hitting the hotspot (at least, as far as that’s ever true for mullet!).  Timing on the tides was perfect, weather was perfect & water warm.  Just need the fish to turn up.  Starting on the last of the ebb plenty of small bass proved voracious, & on the clock the mullet appeared too, but, proved their normal fickle selves.

Intriguing fishing, and a deepening addiction for all who’re off the inland rivers due to water temps, and, as usual a good social followed by a curry for the hungry hard core.

Lovely to be out, some great mullet expertise shared & new lessons learned – summer mullet madness, what could be better?!

Total count – many many small bass, and 5 or 6 golden greys and thins, well done all!
