An excellent and well attended day was held for our annual grayling non-competition competition.  Plenty of anglers entered, and were paired for a relaxing few hours on a beautiful day fishing for grayling.  The day was highly productive and great fun, with quite a few grayling (of all sizes!) being caught, although the trout hadn’t quite switched off for the season, so those appeared too and were promptly returned (as were the grayling).  As always, we try to keep all fish in or over the water, keeping handling to a minimun, although a fish on a wet net is a good alternative.

Afterwards, we retired to the Green Man in Wimborne for a really fun chilli, more than one beer, and a lot of fishing chat.

A perfect day, tight lines!
